In an effort to harnass the excitement and follow the top wrestlers in the Intermediate Division to the Midget State Tournament we have gone back to a point system fashioned along the lines of the new IHSA point system for the wrestling State Tournament.
Good Luck to all 8-9-10 years olds and remember bigbash says that you can never have too many points!!!!
All 2013 Midget State Placers will be credited with the above points based upon their finish as posted on Track Wrestling.
2013 Midget State Championships
8 points for 1st place
7 points for 2nd place
6 points for 3rd place
5 points for 4th place
4 points for 5th place
3 points for 6th place
2 points for 7th place
1 point for 8th place
For 2013 Winter Nationals all points apply to all eligible divisions since USA Wrestling rules do not allow for moving up age divisions.
2013 Winter Classic Nationals
14 points for 1st place
10 points for 2nd place
8 points for 3rd place
6 points for 4th place
4 points for 5th place
2 points for 6th place
For 2014 IKWF Kids Open all points apply to all eligible divisions since the IKWF by-laws/rules do not allow for moving up age divisions except for 10 year olds who wish to wrestle in the Novice Elite Division instead of the Midget(Intermediate) Open Division.
Additionally all 10 year olds who elect to wrestle in the Novice Elite Division with receive 3 additional participation points regardless if they place or not. If the wrestler place in the Top 6 the wrestler is credited with the place points plus the participation points.

Additionally all 10 year olds who elect to wrestle in the Novice Division with receive 5 additional participation points regardless if they place or not Sectionals. If the wrestler place in the Top 4 at Sectionals only the wrestler is credited with the place points plus the participation points.

If all 5 criteria are applied and a tie still exsists the tournament directors will decide the affected wrestlers seed/placement in the bracket(s).
