I am sorry to hear about Eutis and wish him a Godspeed recovery.
FYI to all, my net is out at home until sometime next week. I have added the wrestlers listed in this thread, those that have emailed, and those that have called. As we enter Feb (and my net is repaired next wk) I will be providing more detailed information about the list of interested wrestlers, costs associated, etc. Thanks to everyone and keep the wrestlers coming. At this time I am very pleased at the possible lineups and look forward to speaking to everyone on a more personal level. Good luck and continued success on the mats. Sincerely, Coach King

Just turned 10 in Dec. Was 1st at Peoria a couple of weeks ago.. Started the year at 122lbs.. but is now down to 115 for midget state..
Younger son Giovanni is 8 and 64 - 66lbs... Record of 26 - 4..

We are in the works for a VERY solid team. I also have a couple names on paperwork at home, but can't get to them right now. Please continue to email interest. I will begin checking out the bantams this weekend and go form there. I will begin contacting people more directly after the weekend. Thanks again and good luck on the mats.

ATTENTION...... I can NOT open my primary email. I sincerely apologize but need interested parties to resend their info. Please contact me at coachking2008@hotmail.com or directly by cell at 618-709-6636. Some of you have been selected and don't know it yet.
I have begun selections and need to speak directly to many of the candidates, so parents please get ahold of me. I have received a few more contacts by message and phone that are not listed. I plan to post the preliminary selections the middle of next week (FOLLOWING INDY AND LIBERTY RESULTS). Upon being selected families will receive an email explaining all team information and answer a lot of the common questions. A few days after I will call for a follow up and to get on a more personal level. Feel free to call if you have any questions. Thanks for your assistance and god luck on the mats.
PS... Great job at bantam state.

It is truely sad, but apparently a coach is being untruthful with parents about our team. Please call me directly about any questions. I am taking a team to place as high as possible for IL and the top kids, not just taking a team so I can coach, or so the kids from my team can go. I have some very tough (national placing) wrestlers from my club that will not be on the team because there are other wrestlers in the state that are better (placed higher).
*Team members will wrestle all rounds (not split matches) unless they have already been told. * Before you believe some of these guys BS, check more well known people in the IKWF and ask their opinion. *Also, last year I was asked to coach the Chicago fire team last minute last year. I had no part of assembling the team.

Ryan,
You can think what you want, but I will be the first to tell you that I have not told a parent anything that another parent has not already told me. I have supported you with the kids that were on your "waiting" list and told them to wait to hear from you before deciding. Yes there has been a few that were not even aware of you or what you were doing or at least that is what I have been told. In fact I even have given some of your northern kids a place to practice if they have none (ask Mr. Eutis). and even made sure Mrs Bittle made you aware of the rule that almost bit me in the rear a few years ago (not knowing that the sourthern part is in another district) I have always tried to be honest with you in my dealings and find it odd you want to call people out on boards....which normally I thought was not your style. Yes I do want to coach a team, so call me selfish, call me what ever. I enjoy coaching and yes there are force kids on the team I have a relationship with...oh well (i'll let there wrestling do the talking). Ryan you are a good coach and I have had alot of respect for you, heck i'll even buy you a beverage out there. Alot of people have had good times on my teams from down south (Clevelands, Bittles, etc) So please do not turn this into a he said she said issue. I wish the best to your USA team and your tennessee team and look forward to Illinois maintaining its dominate tradition. No matter if its your team, Inferno, or North stars the country will know they have to strap it up tight when they take on Illinois boys! Take care and best wishes
Chris

Chris, thank you for your response. Maybe I am gaurded due to past experiences. I have been contacted by several people with some interesting stories. I have a "waiting" list (as you put it) in an attemp to create the best team possible. I want to take an IL team that demonstrates our wrestlers abilites and competes with the other top national teams. A team without politics or deals for family members or team mates. I feel additional opportunities for other wrestlers are good things, but I feel the top kids should be on one team trying to win it or place as high as possible. Thank you for allowing Eutis to practice at your facility. I feel it is weird that you say I should have contacted you, but you were speaking to people on my list and didn't contact me? Also I have never said anything negative about any of the Force kids and will have some on my team also. I have known some of the Force families and stayed at their homes, long before you were there. Shoot, I didn't even know what roster you were listed on??? Thank you for the kind words, I wish you well and do hope all IL wrestlers do well. Feel free to give me a call. Sincerely, Ryan
